JQ International is a non-denominational organization that is unaffiliated with any particular synagogue or sect of Judaism. This allows us to be welcoming to any LGBTQ Jew or Ally that is interested in reconnecting with the Jewish community at large. We often partner with local synagogues in order to introduce our members to opportunities to connect with other queer Jews in Los Angeles.
On March 8th, we were proud to have our own Executive Director, Asher Gellis participate in Congregation Beth Chayim Chadashim’s Q&A on the “State of the Union of LGBTQ Jews in their 20s/30s.” Topics included:
- What matters today to LGBTQ Jews in Los Angeles?
- Trends and participation in the minds of Generation Q!
We are proud of our ongoing relationship with BCC and their 20/30’s Havurah. We are looking forward to more collaborations with their members in the future!
